North Wales Police engaged us to prepare an appeal following refusal of permission for use of buildings at their firing range to provide training and team building activities. Previous permissions for the site had restricted the use of the facility to the emergency services only, and placed controls upon its openings hours. North Wales Policy applied for permission to vary these permissions to allow use of the facilities and buildings on the site for training and team building for non-emergency service groups throughout the year. Considerable local opposition had arisen due to misunderstandings over the nature of the proposal.

We advised that an appeal would be the best route for pursuing the proposal, and following the submission of a detailed and forceful case the appeal was granted.
