Conversion of former outdoors pursuits centre to home approved in National Park

Our clients had bought a lovely site with a former outdoor pursuits centre set near to Bala on the shore of Llyn Celyn, which they were looking to convert into a residential dwelling. Its setting made it a perfect candidate for a gorgeous residential dwelling. We initially submitted a pre-application enquiry to the National Park Authority which returned with a negative response. We at Owen Devenport assessed the situation and guided our clients through the application process believing that there was a possibility to address the concerns raised. We submitted a full application alongside all the necessary documentation needed to satisfy all the authority’s initial worries with the submission. After back and forth with the council we were glad to finally receive the approval sought. Our clients were ecstatic with the results and may now begin work to implement their new consent or sell on the property.
