Permission secured for conversion of Grade II* listed Chapel into 3 holiday lets in Menai Bridge

We were extremely pleased to hand over the Listed Building Consent to our Clients today for the conversion of the stunning 'Capel Mawr' in Menai Bridge into 3 high quality holiday letting units. This Listed Building Consent followed on from an earlier grant of planning permission for the scheme.

This has been a long running scheme due to the need to carefully negotiate with both the Council and Cadw to agree on a design that was acceptable to all parties. This resulted in a carefully balanced development that maximised the use of the building for our client, whilst also respecting the Chapel’s stunning interior.

Working alongside WM Design and Fenix Heritage, with earlier input form SCP Transport and Cambrian Ecology into the planning application, we were able to secure the permissions needed for our clients.

They can now begin their investment into the future of this building, preserving it for the area, contributing to the local economy, and providing them with a long term return on their investment.

We’re always happy to help on Listed Building and tourism projects, please feel free to get in touch.
