Permission secured on vacant Little Chef site for 6 houses in Gaerwen

For this case we assisted our client with securing permission for 6 houses (a mix of larger detached and smaller terraced homes, including one affordable property) on a long term vacant site in the centre of the village of Gaerwen on Anglesey. This land had been vacant for a considerable period after the demolition of the Little Chef building and was clearly in need of development.

As ever with brownfield sites a number of issues had to be tackled and we worked successfully with WM Design, Egniol Consulting, and Cambrian Ecology to put together a detailed and persuasive case to support the scheme. We also tackled issues raised by the Local Authority during the application and advised our client on how these matters should be addressed. This included input into the drafting of a Section 106 Planning Obligation.

Consent has now been secured for an attractive and well-designed development on the site which will allow it once again to offer something to the local community.
